Months after launching the flagship Meizu PRO 5, Meizu has now launched a new variant of the flagship powered by Ubuntu – the Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition.
Meizu has announced the launch of the Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition, which is the company’s latest flagship smartphone powered by the Ubuntu OS with a full metal body, fingerprint scanner and the latest USB Type-C port. The device has a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with 2.5D glass, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection, 88-degree viewing angle and resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 2.1 GHz octa core Exynos 7420 processor along with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
The Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition has a 21.6 MP rear facing laser auto focus camera with PDAF, Sony IMX230 Exmor RS BSI sensor, 6P lenses, f/2.2 aperture and dual tone LED flash. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on a massive 3050 mAh battery. The handset is will be displayed at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2016 Expo in Barcelona.
