Just a day after unveiling the Meizu M5 in India, Meizu has announced a price cut to compete in the cut-throat market.
Meizu has announced a price cut for the Meizu M5 in India. With the cut, the handset which was launched at Rs. 10499, would now retail at Rs. 9499. It is quite obvious that the company had to slash the price given the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi 4, which offers strikingly similar specs at just Rs. 8999.
The Meizu M5 has a 5.2 inch 2.5D curved glass HD display with a fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa core MediaTek processor with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Also present is a 13 MP rear facing camera and a front facing 5 MP camera.
Speaking about the price cut, Leon Zhang, South Asia Head, Meizu India, said, “This Significant move has come as our endeavour to further uplift the excitement of Meizu fans to own our products through further incentivizing them.”
