Meizu recently announced its affordable smartphone M3E which is powered by Helio P10 SoC and 3 GB RAM. The device also features a fingerprint scanner at the front which is housed on the home button. However, it now looks like Meizu is working on a flagship device which has Samsung’s Exynos 8890 SoC under the hood. This unknown Meizu flagship device powered by Exynos 8890 SoC has popped up on AnTuTu revealing some of its specifications.
This unknown Meizu device is listed as meizu_m96 on AnTuTu and carries flagship specs under the hood. As we said, it’s powered by Samsung’s Exynos 8890 SoC and is accompanied by 4 GB RAM and Mali-T880 GPU. Just in case you are unaware, the Exynos 8890 SoC is the one which is powering Samsung’s 2016 flagship devices like the Galaxy Note7.
Other specs as revealed by AnTuTu include Quad-HD display, 32 GB internal storage, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. While the AnTuTu listing doesn’t reveal the size of the display, the device is said to ship with a 5.5-inch display. This device might be the Meizu Pro 7 or some variant of the Pro 6, but, we will have to wait until the company decides to take the wraps off and unveil the device.
