With powerful processors becoming increasingly important for high-end smartphones, MediaTek has now unveiled the deca-core Helio X30 processor.
MediaTek has announced the launch of the deca-core Helio X30 processor. The SoC is based on the 10nm TSMC process and supports up to 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The processor uses Quad-core PowerVR 7XT series GPU. The processor promises 53% improved power savings and 43% better performance than the Helio X20.
The deca-core Helio X30 processor supports up to 28 MP dual ISP camera sensor. The processor is expected to enter mass production in early 2017 and is expected to be seen in commercial devices by mid-2017. Further, MediaTek has also introduced the Helio P25, which is an upgraded version of the Helio P20.
