When Windows Phone 8.1 was unveiled, there was a cool new lockscreen feature announced dubbed the Live Lock Screen. Although Windows Phone 8.1 update went live a few days ago and the Developer Preview has been available for quite a while now but the new Live Lock Screen was nowhere to be seen. Now, the feature is available as a beta app on the Windows Phone Store.
The Live Lock Screen Beta is now live on the Windows Phone Store for devices with 1 GB RAM. The app comes with six new lockscreen themes, which should give your Windows Phone a new look and feel. Every theme has its own look and feel for notifications, date and time. There’s also the option to use Bing images as the lockscreen wallpaper.
Windows Phone has always been panned for being scarce when it comes to customisation options but Windows Phone users will be pretty pleased with the arrival of Start Screen wallpapers and now the Live Lock Screen. You have to keep in mind though that the app is still in beta, so it is a little buggy. The app also doesn’t quite work well when you have pin security enabled. You can give it a try though, hit the link below and get going.
