Just recently we heard that Google seemed quite impressed with Motorola and may consider giving the Nexus 5 to them, however sources in the know feel differently about this.
According to sources, as rumoured earlier, LG would manufacture the Nexus 5 and would follow the design language of the recently launched LG G2, however the device would be priced just like the Nexus 4. The device is expected to go on sale on the Google Play Store for $299 off-contract. The company had to scale down the processor to the Snapdragon 600 to maintain the cost.
The LG Nexus 5 though will use the design of the LG G2, the unusual changes like the power buttons and volume rocker on the back would be reverted back to the sides. However maintain the price despite the marked improvements in the LG Nexus 5 would make it go down well in the market, especially for the stock-Android lovers.
Expected specs of the LG Nexus 5:
- 5.2 inch display
- 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution
- 1.4 GHz quad core Snapdragon 600 processor
- 2 GB RAM
- 16/32 GB internal memory
- 13 MP primary camera
- 2 MP front facing camera
- Google Android v4.3 Jelly Bean
- 3000 mAh battery
