Like Samsung, LG also has been working actively to update its devices to the lasts Android KitKat version. After rolling out the update for the flagship LG G2, the company has now assured updates for other handsets as well.
According to LG Italy’s Facebook page, the company is expected to roll out the Android KitKat update for the G Pro Lite and the Optimus L9 II. While there is no official mention, the Optimus L9 II is expected to receive the Android 4.4.2 update first in the next couple of weeks whereas the G Pro Lite users may have to wait till the end of Q2.
While the upcoming LG G3, the LG G2 and L Series III handsets all run on the latest Android KitKat version, the company is expected to push updates for some older handsets as well. The update provides better RAM management, immersive mode for media playback, cloud-print support, UI improvements, smart caller ID by Google, SMS integration in Hangouts, Emoji Keyboard and other features.
