When the LG Optimus G launched back in September, the 4.7-inch smartphone went on to impress us to the core.
And today, rumours about the follow-up to the Optimus G have already started to pour in. Called the LG Optimus G2, the smartphone is said to arrive with some impressive specs.
The news comes in from Korean site MK News, which suggests that LG has sped up the work on the Optimus G2 and the smartphone is said to be released within the next 6 months probably to challenge the already long-rumoured Samsung Galaxy S IV which is said to be arriving with almost similar specs.
The specs that the LG Optimus G2 is said to arrive sound great too, which include:
- 5-inch Full HD LCD Panel display
- Resolution of 1920 x 1080 with pixel density of 440 ppi
- 2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon Prime processor
- Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie
- LTE
We expect Sony to bring in a camera module which is somehow better than the existing 13 MP sensor on the Optimus G. There is currently no information on the internal memory that the LG Optimus G2 might bring in but how about 32 GB of internal memory to arrive as default?
From all the rumours and leaks that we have come across until now, it seems that the year 2013 will be dedicated to smartphones with 5-inch full-HD displays and much more powerful processors.
