How can there be a day when we do not see a leak or hear rumour about the LG Nexus 4 and today is not different.
We know that the device is to be unveiled on the October 29th and press shot of the smartphone also went on to leak from @evleaks, yesterday. And today the smartphone is already available for pre-order over Carphone Warehouse.
Yes, the online retailer is now taking the pre-orders for the LG Nexus 4 for delivery before 30th October and will be available from Vodafone and O2 in UK for free on a 2-year contract for £31 a month.
The image used by Carphone Warehouse is the same which we saw getting leaked yesterday so this could mean that the leak from @evleaks was correct.
Going by the specifications listed on the website, the LG Nexus 4 is arriving with:
- 4.7-inch screen
- Display resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels
- 1.5 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm S4 Pro processor
- 2 GB RAM
- 8 GB is much rumoured
- 8 MP rear camera with LED Flash
- 1.3 MP front facing camera
- Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean MR1)
- 2100 mAh battery
The on-board storage is mentioned as 8 GB only which we have heard since day one and this might be because Google might go on to give importance to cloud storage.
Interestingly Carphone Warehouse mentions that the Nexus 4 will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS but in the features break down, it mentions that the smartphone will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.So it might be that the Android 4.2 upgrade might be called Jelly Bean only and not as the Android Key Lime Pie as we saw earlier today.
Whatever the case may be, Google is holding the launch event on October 29th and the Nexus 4 is coming to India by November end.
