LG Electronics today announced launch of its new smartphone LG GT540, first phone from upcoming series of Smartphones – LG Optimus. This Android-powered smart phone runs on Android version 1.6 and can be upgraded to 2.1 version.
It features a 7.62 cm TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480. Its dimensions are 109 x 54.5 x 12.9mm and it weighs around 115 grams. Priced at Rs. 12,990 LG Optimus GT540 is , we can say, entry level Android smartphone from LG. The company is planning to launch 10 Smartphone by the end of 2010 under the LG Optimus Series.
