South Korean tech giant LG launched its K series of smartphone back in 2016 which included the K8 and K10 as well. Well now, after two years, the company has announced the new and improved versions of both these smartphones, dubbed LG K8 (2018) and LG K10 (2018).
Let’s talk about the LG K10 (2018) first. The LG K10 (2018) comes with a glossy finish at the back along with a metal U-frame. It features a 5.3-inch HD display and is powered by an unknown octa-core processor that’s clocked at 1.5 GHz and is paired with 2 or 3 GB RAM. The 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage variant is called K10 and K10α, whereas, the one that comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage is called K10+.
The K10 (2018) series smartphones also come with improved cameras (13 MP at the back and 8 MP on the front). That said, the phone also comes with a Smart Rear Key which apart from unlocking the phone, can also be used to quickly take photos or screenshots.
Speaking about the LG K8 (2018), this smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor which is coupled with 2 GB RAM. It features a 5-inch HD display and comes with an 8 MP rear and 5 MP front camera.
The smartphone also comes with features like Timer Helper and Flash Jump Shot. The former makes it easier to take photos by setting a timer by counting seconds by using the flash as visual aid, and, the latter lets you create GIFs by taking photos and stitching them together. These features are also available on the K10 (2018) series smartphones.
“LG’s 2018 K Series range of smartphones is focused on delivering even more value to consumers looking for the right device that fits their lifestyle and needs. We’re confident we can capture the hearts and minds of consumers in the fast-moving market with our smartphone camera technology and other convenient features.” said Ha Jeung-uk, Senior Vice President and Business Unit Leader for LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
