After LG introduced the 5.5 inch Quad HD display panel today, we thought we would have to wait till May 27 to see it on the LG G3. However, the company has used it on the new LG Isai FL which is launched in Japan.
LG has launched the new LG Isai FL with Japanese carrier KDDI. While this phone would be limited to Japan, this handset is of utmost interest to us for two reasons. The first is that this is the first smartphone from LG to feature Quad HD display measuring 5.5 inches with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is also the first Quad HD smartphone from amongst manufacturers which make it to the top 10 list.
The second reason why the LG Isai FL is mainly because we can expect similar specs on the upcoming flagship LG G3. The device is said to have an ultra-slim panel with a mere 1.2 mm thickness and has a 1.15 mm bezel, which is touted to be the narrowest available. The display has a 538 ppi pixel density and is said to conform the 100 percent RGB colour reproduction standard.
The LG Isai FL is powered by the quad core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz along with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The device is equipped with a rear facing 13.2 MP camera with LED flash and which is capable of 4K video recording. There is also a front facing 1.3 MP camera.
