Now that we’re just a few days away from the official announcement of the flagship LG G5, sources have hinted that the company might already be working on the mini version of the flagship – the LG H840.
According to sources, a mysterious LG smartphone bearing model number LG H840 was spotted at GFXBench. Interestingly, the model number is in the same series as the flagship LG G5. However, given that handset has a higher model number, we thought that this could be a higher end variant of the flagship but the benchmark listing shows otherwise.
As per the benchmark listing, the LG H840 would flaunt a 5.3 inch Quad HD display, which is in line with the flagships 5.5 inch Quad HD display. The handset has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The device is said to be equipped with an 8 MP sensor for the front and rear camera, which is slightly doubtful.
However, what is really shocking is the fact that the LG H840 is said to be powered by the mid-range octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor unlike the powerful Snapdragon 820 processor expected to be used in the LG G5. Based on this, we can confidently assume that the handset could be the budget variant of the flagship – the LG G5 Mini.
