Qualcomm has reportedly begun working on Snapdragon 845 for LG’s next generation smartphone LG G7. LG G6 had to skip the Snapdragon 835, possibly due to Samsung grabbed it in the first batch for its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. It sounds like LG may be taking steps to ensure that it doesn’t happen again during the launch of the LG G7.
Having said that, LG and Qualcomm reportedly working on Snapdragon 845 for LG G7, a report claims. The new Qualcomm chip will be based on the 7nm fabrication with 30% more power than the current Snapdragon 835. Sounds very exciting, eh?
LG’s current smartphone, LG G6 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, the same chip we saw on the Google Pixel and OnePlus 3T last year. The competitors are coming out with the latest hardware in it. Samsung Galaxy S8 is the first smartphone in the world to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip followed by the Xiaomi Mi 6 and the upcoming OnePlus 5.
To make sure LG G7 gets the latest hardware, Qualcomm and LG are working together so that LG G7, which is supposed to be coming in the year 2018, would at least bring the best to its consumers.
Who’s going to leading with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845? Can LG G7 make its way before the Samsung Galaxy S9? Let us know in the comments.
