With non-removable batteries facing a lot of flak from users, LG might be employing a unique way to manage the battery.
According to sources, LG may employ a new semi-modular design for its upcoming flagship LG G5 smartphone. The handset is said to have a detachable bottom edge, from where the users would get to remove the battery. There would be buttons which could be used to unlock the latches for the bottom portion.
Interestingly, the report also suggests that the LG G5 would have a full metal unibody with a slimmer design compared to previous iterations. While we are unsure if this would be the actual method of battery removal or just an illustration, we are looking forward to a removable battery for the flagship handset.
