The fingerprint sensors on the recently launched Apple iPhone 5S and the HTC One Max did give the extra edge to the smartphones, LG seems to have plans to embed a similar sensor on its upcoming flagship LG G3.
According to reports, the upcoming flagship LG G3 would feature a fingerprint sensor. The scanner is said to be similar to the one on the HTC One Max and would require the user to swipe his finger over the sensor. Apparently the decision to add the fingerprint sensor on the device is fairly recent and testing has been initiated on a prototype.
The LG G3 is said to support the LG G Arch smart watch and the LG G Health tracking band, which are expected to be launched at the MWC 2014. The LG G3 created ripples after it was revealed that the device would feature a Quad HD display with LG’s own octa core processor.
Expected specs of the LG G3:
- 5.5 inch display
- 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution
- LG Odin octa core processor
- 3 GB RAM
- 32 GB internal memory
- 16 MP primary camera
- 2 MP front facing camera
- Google Android v4.4 KitKat
