After being unable to guard the much awaited LG G2, the company finally officially announced its flagship phone at a grand event in New York.
The LG G2, which would be the first smartphone under LG’s new “G” Series for premium devices, has a 5.2 inch full HD display, which the company claims is the largest an average person can comfortably hold. The device is powered by the powerful 2.26 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The processor also supports LTE-A, thus assuring high-speed internet access.
The LG G2 has a major change in the design. The power button and volume rocker of the device are put at the back of the device thus keeping the sides plain and smooth. The rear key is the only physical key on the device. The device has a massive 13 MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) technology and features like Super Resolution and Multi-point AF, besides a front facing 2.1 MP camera.
The LG G2 will run on the Android v4.2.2 with some unique LG UX features like ‘Answer Me’, which automatically answers the call after lowering the ringtone when the phone is raised to one’s ear. ‘Plug & Pop’ recommends related features to choose from when the earphone or USB cable is detected. The device can be used as a conventional remote besides being customized to operate multiple devices with flexible layouts and keys.
