LG might be planning to enter the tablet industry again, but this time with a bang. The device is expected to hit competitors like the Google’s refreshed Nexus 7 and Apple’s iPad Mini.
According to sources, LG is working on a new Android tablet called the LG G Pad. The tablet is said to sport an extremely sharp 8.3 inch display with resolution of 1920 x 1200. The device is expected to be powered by an unknown quad core processor along with 2 GB of RAM. The tablet is expected to feature at IFA in Berlin in September.
The LG G Pad, which would be the first tablet device under the new premium G branding, would follow the LG G2 design language. It is supposed to be extremely thin and lightweight with a very thin side bezel. While it’s unlikely that it would include pen like the Samsung Galaxy Note, it would support cellular connectivity with support for voice calls.
