After releasing the G Pad 7.0 almost a month back, LG is all set to rollout the LG G Pad 10.1 globally to mark its presence in the tablet segment.
LG Electronics has announced the global release of the LG G Pad 10.1, which was announced a few months back. The tablet will start rolling out this week in the US. This would be followed by rollout out in the European and Asian markets later this month.
The LG G Pad 10.1 has a massive 10.1 inch display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet is powered by a quad core Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2 GHz along with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The device is also equipped with a 5 MP rear facing camera and a front facing VGA camera.
The LG G Pad 10.1 is updated with a few features borrowed from the LG G3. The tablet is loaded with the updated version of QPair, which can be used to connect to Android-powered smartphones via Bluetooth to receive notifications of calls and messages. Also the Knock Code enables users to power on and unlock their LG smartphones in one easy step by entering a personalized “knock” pattern on the display.
Speaking about the release of the LG G Pad 10.1, Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO, LG, said, “Consumers use tablets differently from smartphones and we wanted to highlight the important role of entertainment in the new LG G Pad 10.1. Tablets are increasingly being used as companion devices, which is why we made connecting the LG G Pad 10.1 to other devices so easy and convenient and why LG G Pad 10.1 offers the best core technologies of our G series smartphones.”
