With smartphones with flexible displays said to be the next big thing in the mobile industry, LG, which had recently announced its first LG G Flex with a curved display, is ready for a global rollout starting this week.
LG Electronics is all set to release its first curved smartphone, the LG G Flex, in the global market starting with Singapore and Hong Kong this week. Customers in Singapore can start pre-ordering their devices from December 8, whereas the device will go on sale in Hong Kong on December 13. The other major markets in Asia are also expected to receive the device before the end of the year.
The LG G Flex is designed to follow the contour of the face. The design reduces the distance between one’s mouth to the microphone when the device is held against the ear and also helps increase voice quality level by 3 dB. The design of the 6 inch display smartphone also provides a better grip and slides well in the back pocket. The smartphone also has the power button on the back panel just like the LG G2. The smartphone also uses curved battery technology for the 3500 mAh battery which helps reduce the physical stress on the battery due to the curvature.
