With the CES 2014 just a day away, all major companies have started announcing the products they plan on showcasing at this year’s expo. Lenovo, whose ThinkPad series is the preferred choice of high end users, has unveiled the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 tablet.
The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 sports an 8.3 inch display which has a high resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The tablet is powered by the new 22nm Intel Bay Trail quad core processor, which the company claims to be running at 2.4 GHz, but considering the maximum output speed, the chip would perform on an average at 1.4 GHz. There is also dedicated Intel HD Graphics solution with support for OpenGL 3.2 and DX11.
The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 packs in 128 GB of internal storage besides the 2 GB of RAM. The device has a rear facing 8 MP auto focus camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing 2 MP camera. The tablet, which would be available in Wi-Fi only and Cellular versions, runs on the Windows 8.1 OS with a battery that lasts for 8 hours.
