Lenovo today launched the Vibe K5 Plus in India alongside the Vibe K5 Note. Well yes, Lenovo already launched the Vibe K5 Plus in India back in March this year, but, that was the 2 GB RAM variant, whereas, the one launched today carries 3 GB RAM.
Apart from the change in the amount of RAM, most other specifications remain the same. The device is powered by Snapdragon 616 SoC which is now paired with 3 GB RAM. It features a 5-inch Full-HD display which is backed by 2750 mAh battery.
The Vibe K5 Plus sports a 13 MP primary camera at the back and a 5 MP secondary camera at the front. You get 16 GB internal storage on the device, but, the external storage has been bumped up from 32 GB to 128 GB. The external storage can be expanded using a microSD card. Lenovo has also introduced a new UI with this 3 GB RAM variant.
While the amount of RAM has been increased, Lenovo has kept the price similar to the 2 GB RAM variant i.e., ₹8499. One thing that we didn’t like is that Lenovo has kept the device on Android Lollipop instead of launching it with Android Marshmallow. We hope Lenovo will make up for that by rolling out an update later on.
