Chinese technology brand Lenovo launched Lenovo S5 mid-range smartphone in China which comes with 5.7-inch full-screen display and dual cameras at the back. Well, alongside the S5, Lenovo also launched two other smartphones – the Lenovo K5 and the Lenovo K5 Play.
Lenovo K5
The S5 that Lenovo launched looked like the OnePlus 5T, however, the K5 (and K5 Play) look very much similar to the Honor 9 Lite. The Lenovo K5 sports a 5.7-inch full-screen display having aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. And, the phone is covered with 2.5D curved glass both on the front and the back.
Above the display is an 8 MP camera, and below it, is nothing. Not even Lenovo moniker. At the back, there’s a dual camera setup which is a combination of one 13 MP and one 5 MP camera. There’s also a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone, and, further down below is the Lenovo logo.
Under the hood, the Lenovo K5 comes with MediaTek’s MT6750V octa-core processor which is coupled with 3 GB RAM. The smartphone runs ZUI 3.1 Lite based on Android Nougat, and, has 32 GB of storage on board.
The Lenovo K5 comes in three colors – Blue, Grey, Black – and, providing fuel to it is the 3000 mAh battery.
Lenovo K5 Play
The Lenovo K5 Play has a design similar to the K5, however, it is more curved along all its four sides. Moreover, unlike the K5 which is powered by MediaTek chip, the K5 Play has Snapdragon 430 underneath which is laced with up to 3 GB RAM.
Screen and battery specifications of the K5 Play are the same as that of the K5, but, the secondary camera in the dual camera setup at the back is replaced with a 2 MP snapper.
Having said that, while the Lenovo K5 runs ZUI 3.1 Lite based on Android Nougat, the K5 Play boots up to ZUI 3.7 based on Android Oreo. With that being said, both these smartphones come with a feature called U-Touch that allows the users to perform different actions by making different gestures on the screen.
