It’s been a long time since Google released Android Marshmallow to the public, and so far, Marshmallow hasn’t been able to run on as much devices as it should be. OEMs not rolling out the updates on time is the reason for this. Not much devices are running Android Marshmallow yet. However, Lenovo’s K3 Note becomes the latest one to join the club of Marshmallow running devices. Lenovo has started rolling out the Marshmallow update for K3 Note in India.
The K3 Note users will not only enjoy the Marshmallow update on their device, but, will also get TheaterMax. Lenovo India made this announcement on Twitter, the tweet read “The wait is now over! K3 Note users will soon get the @Android Marshmallow update & TheaterMax support.“
The total size of the update is 1657 MB and carries Android’s March security patch as well. It’s worth noting that the TheaterMax feature is currently present in only a couple of Lenovo phones which include the latest K5 Plus as well. As expected, the Marshmallow update also brings along its native features like Google Now On Tap, Doze, App Permissions, etc. If you didn’t receive the OTA update notification on your K3 Note, you can also check it manually.
