Lenovo after coming out with its smartphone range, is also adding to its tablet range. After the Miix range of tablets, it is coming out with the Yoga range of tablets which is actually a follow up on the Yoga all-in-one PC-cum-tablet and picks up design characteristics from the same device. Lenovo has unveiled two tablets with the same features but in 8-inch and 10-inch sizes.
“Watching and discovering that people frequently use tablets in three main ways allowed us to break the mold on the current ‘sea of sameness’ designs, giving them a better way to read, browse, watch and interact with content,” commented Liu Jun, senior VP and President, Lenovo Business Group, Lenovo.
Lenovo has stunned us by displaying good stuff with its smartphones and we expect something equally good with its smartphones. Lenovo has endowed its tablets with a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 1280 x 800p displays, Android 4.2.2 and a 5-megapixel rear camera.
The tablets come in a magazine inspired design – they are extremely thin and come with a kickstand. They look pretty fad and we are expecting to be well stitched together. The company has got Aston Kutcher as brand ambassador and ‘engineer’ who will give them input on all their devices and how to keep improving.
The Lenovo Yoga tablets are currently available only in the U.S. at a price of $249 for the 8-inch model and $299 for the 10-inch model. No details on availability are currently out.
