Lenovo has been tasting some good success with the A6000, which has been selling like hot cakes and the company is now all set to bring another great device to the Indian market. The Lenovo A7000 is all set to be launched in India on April 7
Lenovo has just started sending out invites for an event on April 7. The invite says, “Save the date, April 5, 2015” and that’s about it. The invite shows a Dolby Atmos theatre, which confirms that the company will indeed be launching the Lenovo A7000. The Lenovo A7000 is the only Lenovo device to come with Dolby Atmos audio support.
The Lenovo A7000 was unveiled at MWC 2015 and it’s finally arriving in India now. The device packs in a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS display and it’s powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6752M processor with 16-core Mali-T760 GPU. It comes with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB of expandable storage.
On the camera front, the Lenovo A7000 features an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 5 MP front-facing camera. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Lenovo’s custom UI on top and a 2900 mAh battery powers the device. The device packs all the connectivity features you need and more. There’s Dual SIM with 4G LTE support for Indian bands too.
The Lenovo A7000 comes in Onyx Black, Laser Yellow and Pearl White color options. When Lenovo unveiled the device, it revealed the price to be around $169, which is approx. Rs. 10,000. Well, we should know the final pricing, come April 7. As always, we’ll keep you posted.
