While Google had revealed that the Android One smartphones would get preference for the Android Marshmallow update, the company has now started rolling out updates for the Lava Pixel V1.
The Lava Pixel V1, which is one of the smartphones in the Android One program, has started receiving the latest Android v6.0 Marshmallow update. The update, which weighs in at about 620 MB, is being pushed Over-the-Air (OTA) and has build number LAVA_PixelV1_S028_20151118. The update, which is being rolled out gradually, is expected to reach all users in the next few days.
The Android v6.0 Marshmallow update for the Lava Pixel V1 adds in many changes, improvements as well as bug and performance fixes. Interestingly, the update also adds the latest Android security patch, which has fix for the stage fright issue. To check if you have received the update, go to Settings -> About Device -> Software Updates.
