Lava Mobiles, today announced the launch of a new Android smartphone called the Lava Iris 501 which arrives with a large 5-inch WVGA display, dual-core processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and more.
The Indian OEM was teasing the smartphone for a few days now on its Facebook page and has today announced the launch officially.
The Lava Iris 501 will arrive with a 5 MP Autofocus camera with LED Flash while there is a VGA front facing camera. The smartphone arrives with 512 MB RAM and internal memory is pegged at 4 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.

Lava will be bundling a 4 GB memory card with the Iris 501 and popular apps like Hike, Saavn, Asphalt HD Game and more will come pre-installed on smartphone. The Lava Iris 501 has been priced at Rs.9999 and is available for prospective buyers from online retailer Saholic from February 14th.
