Lava Mobiles has created a lot of buzz and gained attention by launching the first Intel Atom powered smartphone, the Xolo 900 and now the Indian manufacturer is planning to launch its own Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet.
Called the Lava E-Tab Z7H, this ICS running tablet will arrive with a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display of unknown resolution.
The E-Tab will be powered by a powerful 1.2 GHz processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM. There’ll be 4 GB of internal storage on-board the tablet which could also be expandable. Going by the connectivity options, this tablet is Wi-Fi enabled and would also have 3G support via external USB modems.
The Lava E-Tab will be powered by a 2800 mAh battery and will have many apps pre-installed on the tablet including Orkut, Twitter, Facebook, Bloggers Review, YouTube, TOI, Nimbuzz, Games, Movies, Fusion App, Google Search, Web Partner Portal, 14 Preloaded Books and Flyte Flipkart Music App.
It will carry a 1 Year manufacturer warranty and 6 month manufacturer warranty for other Inbox accessories. The tablet has already been listed on Flipkart and is expected to arrive soon.
We are expecting the tablet to compete directly with Micromax’s Funbook, Zync’s Z-999 Plus. We’ll have to wait and see as to how Lava prices the tablet to compete in the market.
