While we have been repeatedly hearing plans of Reliance Jio to launch a 4G VoLTE enabled feature phone, Lava has now launched India’s first such handset.
Lava has announced the launch of the Lava 4G Connect M1, which is touted to be the first feature phone with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) support in India. The handset has a polycarbonate body with a T9 keypad. Also present is the D-pad which comes with dedicated keys to launch camera, browser, FM radio, Music player and torch. The device has a small 2.4 inch display with resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.
The Lava 4G Connect M1 is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. Also present is rear facing VGA camera. The phone has 4G LTE with VoLTE connectivity. The device is powered by a 1750 mAh battery. The handset is priced at Rs. 3333 and would be available across retail stores and multi-brand outlets across India.
