While the first tablet running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Nexus 7 is yet to arrive in India officially, which is also not expected happen before October, Karbonn has announced the launch of its Smart Tab 1, which is not the first Jelly Bean running tablet to arrive in India.
It was just last month when Karbonn Mobiles had announced the launch of its 7 inch Android Ice Cream Sandwich running Smart Tab 1 for prospective buyers to get their hands-on.
And today the company has updated it website to give out the information that the Smart Tab 1 would be running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. For an Indian company to launch its tablet with Jelly Bean, a few just days after the source code was made available is indeed a great achievement.

The Karbonn Smart Tab 1 with Jelly Bean is priced at just Rs. 6,900, which going by the specs and the new OS on-board seems to be a must buy and can be ordered on Karbonn Mobile’s website.
Also existing users of Karbonn Smart Tab 1 will get the Jelly bean upgrade soon.
