Initially the smartphone competition revolved around providing better specs and features, but with a lot of Indian manufacturers in the fray, it’s all about providing ultra-low cost devices to lure more customers. As such, Karbonn has launched the Karbonn A50s which is touted to be the cheapest Android smartphone in India till date.
Karbonn has announced the launch of its entry-level Android smartphone called the Karbonn A50s. The device has a very small 3.2 inch display with resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core MediaTek processor with just 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of internal storage which can however be expanded using microSD cards.
The Karbonn A50s is equipped with a rear facing 2 MP camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing VGA camera. The device runs on the Android Jelly Bean version and comes with dual SIM support but with only 2G connectivity. The handset is priced at just Rs. 2790 and would be available exclusively through Flipkart.
