Like Flipkart, Snapdeal has been working towards launching devices exclusively through its portal. While the Android One Karbonn Sparkle V added to the impact, the company is ready to retail Jolla smartphones in India.
The Jolla smartphone running on the Sailfish OS, which was announced a few months back is now coming to India. According to the company, the first Jolla handset would be launched on September 23 and would be available exclusively through Snapdeal. While the international variant has 4G support, we may not see 4G support on the handsets released into the Indian markets.
The Jolla smartphone has a 4.5 inch display and is powered by a mild 1.4 GHz dual core processor. However, the phone runs on the Sailfish OS, which the company maintains is completely open-source. The OS has support for swipes and shortcuts and customizable interface. With the current explosion of Android One devices, do you think there is still some more space left for the Jolla smartphone? Let us know.
