At a price of just ₹5000, we have no expectations from the phone to offer a premium metallic build, it flaunts everything plastic with the mediocre build. Comes at a decent 5-inch size with HD display, the screen uses a 2.5Dcurved glass and rounded edges. Lightweight in design the iVoomi Me 1+ is easier to hold and get a grip.
The back cover is removable and so the 3,000 mAh battery. For this price, the battery sounds like it’s the main highlight of the phone. We got the Rose Gold color variant. This could be one of the cheapest smartphone running Android Marshmallow after its base variant iVoomi Me 1 available at a reasonable ₹3,999 price. That’s not it, the phone is upgradeable to Android 7 Nougat.
In an attempt to offer the phone to its cheapest end, Shopclues has offered a ₹200 off discount by using the coupon code ME200. Moving to the back has an 8 MP camera with LED flash and an iVoomi branding. Just below it has the loudspeakers grill. On flipping the phone, it comes with a 5 MP selfie camera.
By looking at the specs, iVoomi has offered good specs given the price, considering it’s an entry-level smartphone. iVoomi Me 1+ is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor paired with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage which expands via MicroSD up to 128 GB.
If we want to say about its performance in our first impressions, the phone can handle just the basic tasks and not mainstream. Don’t expect anything more than that, the phone itself lags and offer sluggish software experience like its sibling iVoomi Me 1. The touch response also needs an improvement.
The left side holds volume control and a power key, the bottom carries a 3.5 mm port and a USB type-C. The rest of the area is kept empty. To insert SIM cards, you need to open the back cover of the phone. iVoomi Me 1+ has 4G LTE support that means it should support Reliance Jio and other 4G SIM cards. Besides, the handset offers all basic connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
iVoomi Me 1+ has just entered the crowded smartphone market. Do you think this phone is a good buy when you are on a tight budget?
