itel Mobile launched the itel S41 in India back in September last year. And now today, the company has launched the successor to the S41 – dubbed itel S42. The itel S42 is a budget smartphone and we had already learnt about some of the specifications of this phone last week. But now that the phone is launched in the country, we now have all the details about it.
Like we already said, the itel S42 is a budget smartphone. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 SoC which is paired with 3 GB RAM. However, the S42 boots up to Android 8.0 Oreo which is really impressive for a phone of this price.
That said, one of the biggest highlights of the itel S42 is its display. The itel S42 flaunts a 5.65-inch full-screen display that has a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone also has small bezels, but don’t expect them to be as small as the ones on premium flagships, because this isn’t a flagship after all.
Moving on to the photography department, the itel S42 features a 13 MP snapper both at the back and on the front. And, the 13 MP camera on the front is also accompanied by flash so that you can capture brighter photos in low-light conditions.
In terms of storage, there’s 16 GB of space of on board, but, you can expand the storage up to 128 GB via microSD card as and when you want. Lastly, the itel S42 ships with a 3000 mAh battery which draws power from a micro USB port.
