While the Apple fanboys are known to go crazy around the launch of the new iPhone, Indian fans have apparently started pre-booking the device.
According to a report, an Apple Premium Resellers (APRs) based in Bangalore city has started taking pre-orders for the recently announced iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. Interested customers can pay an amount of Rs. 10000 to pre-order their handset then pay the balance sum after the official launch.
While we suspected that the pre-orders being taken by the APRs are unofficial as we have received no intimation from Apple, contacting some other local APRs revealed that almost all of them have started taking pre-orders with some even asking for Rs. 50000 as advance payment with delivery expected within 15 days of the launch, which apparently is scheduled October 17. One thing we know for sure is that the pricing would fall below the Rs. 50000 mark (keep the ‘sell kidney to buy iPhone’ jokes ready).
