We have all heard about the rumours around the iPad Mini and also we know how reluctant Steve Jobs was regarding a 7 inch tablet from Apple.
And today CNET has posted a full email which Apple’s iOS Software Chief Eddy Cue wrote to Tim Cook suggesting that he used a Samsung Galaxy (Tab) and felt that there was going to be a market for 7 inch tablets.
And today CNET has posted a full email which Apple’s iOS Software Chief Eddy Cue wrote to Tim Cook suggesting that he used a Samsung Galaxy (Tab) and felt that there was going to be a market for 7 inch tablets.
Also he said that he found emails, books, Facebook and video very compelling and comfortable on a 7 inch tablet but also went on to feel that web browsing though was still the “weakest point, but still usable”.
He also went on to say that he had expressed this feeling of his to Steve Jobs several times but Steve seemed to be very receptive the last time. We know that Steve Jobs has been never in favour for a smaller iPad as he felt that iPad at 9.7 inch was the best to use.
A full excerpt from the email is as below:
Having used a Samsung Galaxy, I tend to agree with many of the comments below (except moving off the iPad). I believe there will be a 7″ market and we should do one. I expressed this to Steve several times since Thanksgiving and he seemed very receptive the last time. I found email, books, facebook and video very compelling on a 7″. Web browsing is definitely the weakest point, but still usable.
So with the leaks and rumours of the 7.85 inch iPad Mini on a rise we expect the smaller tablet to arrive very soon.
