Apple Inc. has today announced that it has today released an update to its iOS with the release of the iOS 6.1 OS for the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad (third and fourth generation), iPad mini, iPad 2 and iPod touch (fourth and fifth generation).
The iOS 6.1 update weighs about 107 MB (for the iPhone) and adds LTE capabilities to more 36 additional iPhone carriers and 23 additional iPad carriers around the world.
Along with this, iOS 6.1 users in the US will now be able to purchase movie tickets on Fandango using their virtual voice assistant Siri. With the iOS 6.1, subscribers of the iTunes Match will now have the ability to download individual songs from iCloud.
We had hoped that Apple had included much more new features in the update. But apart from this, we expect Apple to have included various bug fixes and improvements so that the performances of the devices improved more.
So if you an iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad (3rd and 4th generation), iPad mini, iPad 2 or the iPod touch (4th and 5th generation), then you can download the update OTA (Over-the-Air) or you can also download using the Apple iTunes.
