Earlier this year, MediaTek had announced its true octa core processor which can have all the eight cores working simultaneously. Now Intex is all geared to launch a smartphone with the processor.
Intex has announced that it would launch the first smartphone in India running on MediaTek’s true octa core processor, which can use all the eight ARM Cortex A7 cores simultaneously for processing, much unlike Samsung’s Exynos Octa 5 processor which can support only four cores at a time. The smartphone would sport a 6 inch 720p display.
The new Intex smartphone powered by the 1.7 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6592 processor is said to be just 7 mm thin with a 2.6 mm bezel. The processor would be supported by 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and the Mali 450 GPU. The device would also be equipped with a massive 13 MP rear facing camera and a front facing 5 MP camera.
