While all the major handset makers have moved into wearables, Intex, which is a home-grown brand, has now launched the Intex iRist smartwatch.
Intex Technologies has announced the launch of the Intex iRist smartwatch, which is the company’s first smartwatch. The smartwatch runs on Android 4.4.2 OS with Google Play Store. It also has support for 3G SIM and can be used to make or receive calls and SMS. The watch is said to have a long lasting battery which offers up to 200 hours standby.
The Intex iRist smartwatch has a 1.56 inch OLED display with Sapphire glass protection and resolution of 240 x 240 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core MediaTek processor along with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The watch is also equipped with a 5 MP camera. The Intex iRist smartwatch is priced at Rs. 11999 and would go on sale in August.
