Instagram has made a new announcement just a day after reaching 500 million users worldwide. It is going to roll out a new feature in the coming month which will let users translate text.
Once this feature is rolled out, users will see a translation button on feed stories and profile bios written in different languages. Captions and comments on the posts in Feed along with Profile Bio will be translated automatically based on the language it’s written in and also your language settings on the device.
“In the coming month, you’ll see a translation button on feed stories and profile bios written in languages different from your own. The Instagram community has grown faster and become more global than we ever imagined. And we’re excited that you’ll soon be able to understand the full story of a moment, no matter what language you speak.” wrote Instagram in a post on, well, Instagram.
This translation feature is expected to roll out globally in the coming month, however, it won’t be available for older posts and comments. So, are you excited about this new translation feature of Instagram?
