Just days after initially slashing its data tariffs, Idea Cellular has further slashed the data tariffs by as much as 67 percent.
Idea Cellular has announced yet another cut in its data tariffs by offering additional data benefits to its subscribers. The operator is offering as much as 67 percent additional data benefits to users recharging with Rs. 649 by offering 5 GB 4G/3G data instead of the earlier 3 GB data. Idea has also launched new Freedom Packs, which are low cost data packs starting at just Rs. 35 with 4 weeks.
With the new tariffs in effect, Idea would offer its subscribers 10 GB of 4G/3G data for just Rs. 990. Similarly, the 2 GB data pack, which was priced at Rs. 449, is now priced at Rs. 349. This move comes into effect just a day after Airtel announced that it would offer as much as 67 percent additional data benefits.
Speaking about the new tariffs, Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular, “While the price reduction in our sachet data packs was aimed at inducting more users into the world of internet; the reduction in rates of BIG Recharge packs now, is aimed at delivering significantly higher value for money to our regular internet users.”
