With mobile gaming gaining popularity amongst the mobile users in India, Idea has tied up with Gameloft to offer their games to the users.
Ideal Cellular has announced the partnership with Gameloft, which is known for their digital and social games. With this deal, the 130 million Idea customers will get access to all the games from the Gameloft Game Store and content from Gameloft’s portfolio of games. The games can also be accessed through Idea’s mobile portal.
However to access the Gameloft Game Store on the mobile, Idea subscribers need to be connected to the internet specifically using the mobile internet connection and can be used on any GPRS enabled feature phone or 3G smartphone. Popular titles like Asphalt, Modern Combat, Real Football, Gangstar and N.O.V.A.: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance are available.
Speaking about the initiative, Sarabjeet Singh, country manager for Gameloft India, said, “This partnership will enable Idea customers to access games from Gameloft for their Java and Android devices without hassles of credit card billing. Idea will be the first operator in India to launch our Gameloft Club games subscription service.”
