While Huawei had taken the lead to launch the Huawei Ascend P6, which was touted to be the world’s thinnest smartphone at that time, the company seems to have plans to launch a refreshed version of the phone named as the Huawei Ascend P6S.
According to the President of Huawei, the company plans to launch a refreshed version of its super thin phone with a powerful octa core processor. While it is still not known if the octa core processor would be manufactured by Huawei itself or supplied by MediaTek, considering the performance of its processor in the Ascend P6, the company might get the chipset from outside.
Huawei may also consider loading the soon to be launched MediaTek MT6592 octa core processor. Early benchmarks of the processor reveal that the chip easily scores above the 28000 range and supports 1080p display resolutions not to forget the very low cost. We can also expect the recently released Android v4.4 on the refreshed version.
