With the increasing demand for octa-core processors, Huawei has unveiled the Huawei Kirin 920 octa core processor.
Huawei has announced the launch of the Huawei Kirin 920 processor. The processor has an octa-core architecture with four ARM Cortex A15 cores that can be clocked up to 2 GHz and another four ARM Cortex A7 cores that can be clocked up to 1.6 GHz. The CPU uses ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture to alternate between the Cortex A7 or A15 cores based on the type of tasks.
The Huawei Kirin 920 processor has the faster Mali T628 MP4 GPU for advanced graphics processing. The CPU also has support for Category 6 LTE networks. It can support display resolution of up to 2560 x 1600 pixels and up to 20 MP cameras with 480 Mpixels/s capture rate. It also uses the IntelliSense I3 for low-power operation when gathering data from accelerometer, gyroscope and compass.
