Huawei launched the MediaPad X1 tablet/phablet at MWC earlier this year and the device has now reached India as the Huawei Honor X1. Even though the device features a 7-inch display, Huawei positions it as a phablet due to its cellular calling capabilities.
The Huawei Honor X1 features a aluminium alloy body, which is pretty thin measuring a mere 7.18 mm. It features a 7-inch Full HD IPS (1920x1080p) display and it’s powered by Huawei’s 1.6 GHz Quad-core HiSilicon Kirin910 processor with Mali 450 GPU. The device packs in 2 gigs of RAM and on the storage front, there’s 16 GB of memory on-board with microSD expansion.
The device is well equipped on the camera front as well. On the rear, there’s a 13 MP rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash. There’s a 5 MP front-facing camera as well for all the selfie addicts.
The Huawei Honor X1 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Huawei’s Emotion 2.0 UI on top. A 5000 mAh battery runs the show. The connectivity is well covered with 3G, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS.
The Honor X1 is priced at Rs. 19,990 and will come in Blue and White hues. It will be exclusively available through online retailer Flipkart starting 16th December.
The Huawei Honor X1 seems to be a pretty capable device if you want a mini tablet with calling facilities. On paper, the device packs in some great specs at the price. So, what are your thoughts on the new Huawei tablet/phablet?
