With manufacturers increasing their focus on entry level and mid-range smartphones to bridge the gap between feature phones and smartphones, Huawei has announced the Huawei Ascend Y600.
The Huawei Ascend Y600 is the latest addition to the company’s Y series. The phone has a 5 inch display with resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core MediaTek processor along with just 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. It also has the Mali 400 GPU. The handset has dual SIM support with 3G connectivity.
The Huawei Ascend Y600 has a 5 MP rear facing camera without flash. There is also a front facing VGA camera. The phone runs on the Android v4.2 with a layer of the Huawei’s Emotion UI. The device is available in Black and White colors and is expected to be rolled out globally in the next few weeks.
