Just yesterday reports had surfaced that Huawei would launch the successor to its flagship Ascend P6 called the Ascend Sx, however the company has quietly announced the slightly upgraded version called the Huawei Ascend P6S.
The Huawei Ascend P6S is a mildly upgraded version of the Ascend P6. While the design remains exactly the same, the Ascend P6S is 0.3 mm thicker than the Ascend P6. Specs-wise, the only change is the slightly faster 1.6 GHz quad core processor which is upgraded from the earlier 1.5 GHz processor. Also, the much expected 64 bit processor did not make it to the device.
The Huawei Ascend P6S has the exact same 4.7 inch 720p display along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. There is also a rear facing 8 MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Jelly Bean with a layer of the Huawei’s Emotion 2.0 UI over it. While the smartphone has dual SIM option, unfortunately, there is still no LTE support.
