Huawei announced three new smartphones at the recently concluded Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2013 which included the Huawei Ascend Mate, Ascend D2 and the Ascend W1 and if this make you think that Huawei was done the year a new leak from popular leakster @Evleaks has revealed that the Chinese giant will possibly unveil the Ascend P2 at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February next month.
The press shot of the Ascend P2 has leaked and the device will run on Android Jelly Bean out-of-the-box and is said to be arriving with a 4.5-inch Full HD 1080p display which will give a stunning pixel density of more than 468PPI which the rumored HTC M7 is said to be packing in on a 4.7-inch Full HD display.
The smartphone is rumored to be powered on a 1.8 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM while the internal storage is pegged at 8 GB which will obviously be expandable using a microSD card. The Ascend P2 is expected to carry a 13 MP camera with LED Flash on the rear while a front facing will be available.
The P2 is rumored to be powered by a hefty 3000 mAh battery to keep it running but the use of the homegrown quad-core processor by Huawei is raising the questions on the performance of the device but we feel that Huawei and already worked on it to beat the other full-HD quad-core beast out there.
We are a month away from MWC and expect more details to flow in the coming few weeks. Stay tuned to us!
