HTC was expected to unveil the One M9 Plus along with the One M9 flagship at its pre-MWC event but the company only unveiled its flagship. Well, the One M9 Plus might be coming soon, as HTC has just started sending invites for an event on April 8.
The event is scheduled in Beijing, China and the invite says, ‘More than One’. The invite features a picture of a device, most probably the One M9 Plus. We get to see the back of the device, which looks like the One M9 with the same brushed metal finish. The camera sensor seems different and there seems to be a dual camera arrangement but we’re not too sure about that.
The One M9 Plus has been part of many leaks and we recently got to know more details about the device. The design of the device should be almost the same as One M9 but a fingerprint scanner is said to be in tow here.
The rumored specs of the device include a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, Octa-core Snapdragon 810 or MediaTek MT6795 chipset, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB expandable storage, 20 MP rear camera and a 4 MP UltraPixel front camera. The device will most probably run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7.0. The device will pack in a 2840 mAh battery.
While the One M9 is a great device, it’s nothing out of the world and the reviews haven’t been very positive either. So, here’s hoping the One M9 Plus brings the much needed respite for the Taiwanese manufacturer.
